Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to fourth grade! I am very excited and looking forward to seeing each child grow and develop both academically and socially.
My name is Julie Coker and I will be teaching your child Math and Science this year. A little about me…I graduated from East Carolina University in December of 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Child Development. This will be my 21th year teaching. I taught third grade at Belvoir Elementary for five years, transferred to Wintergreen Intermediate, and have been teaching fourth grade since.
Fourth grade is a challenging year but I believe that every child can meet that challenge and accomplish every goal, which is set before him/her. I encourage you to review all papers sent home and reinforce any concepts that your child may be having difficulties with. I would like to form a partnership with you and your child to assure that his/her potential is maximized. With your help and support, your child will experience much success this year.
There is an enormous amount of objectives to cover each nine-week period so it is imperative that your child attend school each day as not to miss valuable instructional time.
You may contact me at school by phone (252-355-2411) or by email ([email protected]). Email is the best way to get in touch with me.
I feel blessed that I will have the chance to work with you and your child this year.
Sincerely,
Ms. Julie Coker
